• Once again, Robin never ceases to deliver! I don't have much time for reading, but I MADE time for this book and her earlier release of "Ketchup is a Vegetable". I've never been so excited to READ AND SHARE both of her books with friends!! You give all moms' a sense of normalcy through your writing, to know that we're not alone in our thoughts and feelings with everyday mommy hood! I can't remember ever laughing so much to one book, other than her previous!! Another fabulous read by this author!!
• I have just completed both of Robin's books. I read A second Helping first and laughed myself silly. I don't think I have laughed like that while reading a book in a long time. I was actually sitting in the medical library at our local hospital and had to fight to keep from laughing out loud. I was elated to see that she had another book,Ketchup is a vegetable and Other Lies Moms tell themselves which once again I laughed til I cried. I am a grandmother of two small girls and I very well can relate to these books. I however have the joy of sending my grandchildren home when they wear me out. I would truly recommend these two books to everybody. I am finished with this review with only one negative comment.....ROBIN NEEDS TO HURRY UP AND WRITE MORE BOOKS!!!!!! THANK YOU ROBIN FOR BOOKS THAT ALLOW ME

• I read Ketchup is a Vegetable first, and then this one. I love Robin O'Bryant and her funny, quirky take on life. She is just so real - her love for her kids and husband and all things family is perfectly balanced by her acerbic wit and hilarious, witty, take on life's little moments. Entertaining from beginning to end, you will NOT be disappointed in this book!
• This is a sequel to Ketchup is a Vegetable and Other Lies Moms Tell Themselves. A rib-tickling, fall in the floor laughter book! I have a special love for Robin's writing. I enjoy her honest rendition of the mundane jobs of motherhood. Yet, her warm and loving heart shines through each situation. All this aside, she is downright hilarious and most women will relate to her and won't be able to put the book down. recommend this book to women of all ages! I am in my 70s. )
• This is one funny lady and she keeps you laughing through most of the book. She shares everyday happenings and with the way she tells the stories you can't help but love the book. It's a very fast book to get through because it is so enjoyable.
• I enjoyed this collection of Robin's column stories. I found Ketchup is a Vegetable more enjoyable, but after reading it, needed another dose of Robin's humor. What can I say? I'm already addicted & seriously hope she releases another book soon! Until then, I'll have to get my fix from her blog, Robin's Chicks.
• As the mom of two teenagers, I could relate to several sections in this book. Robin does a great job of describing the highs and lows of raising toddlers and grade-schoolers...all of wish I miss and would go back and experience again. Of course it's easy for me to say that now that I've had several years of over 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep every night!
• I stayed up until 100 am reading Robyn's first book Ketchup is a Vegetable so I couldn't wait to read her next installment. A second Helping didn't disappoint! Robyn's writing makes you feel like you talking with a good friend. Her stories are heartwarming and hilarious. I found myself laughing out loud on several occasions. Her books are a must read for any parent and even if you don't have kids you'll love her wit and insight into raising children. I can't wait for her next book!
